PADI Enriched Air Diver

What is it?

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular Speciality scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. You can typically stay down longer and get back in the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first Speciality.

Who can take part?

The course is open to anyone qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver or above (or equivalent qualification from another organisation) who is a minimum of 15 years old.

What does the course involve?

You will learn how to use enriched air safely and to increase your time under the water

• Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air nitrox
• Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations
• Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, how to tell what’s in your scuba tank and how to set your dive computer
• How to select the best Enriched air mix for your proposed dive

  There are no dives required for this course. Instead we complete practical application modules where you will get hands on use of analysing enriched air and plan a series of dives using enriched air.

  How long will it take?

  The course is classroom based and can be completed in a single evening. Prior to the course you will need to read the PADI Enriched Air Diver Manual and familiarise yourself with the Enriched Air Tables.

  As this course is classroom based if we do not have a course scheduled when you would like to do it we can schedule a course to suit you. To arrange a course or check course dates just contact us at the shop. You will need to get the course materials prior to commencing the course.
