PADI Junior Adventure Diver

What is it?

Whether you’ve just completed your PADI Junior Open Water Diver course or have many logged dives, PADI’s Junior Adventure Diver course gives you the confidence, skills and experience to take your diving to the next level. You will fine tune your dive skills, meet new dive buddies and gain confidence as you explore the special dive activities this program offers.

The course is structured to give you the flexibility to tailor the course to your particular areas of interest as you choose to complete the dives that interest you. The PADI Junior Adventure Diver is a great stepping stone to your Junior Advanced Open Water Diver qualification if you do not have the time to commit to the full Junior Advanced Open Water Course as you complete three of the five dives required for this higher qualification.

Who can take part?

To enrol on the PADI Adventure Diver course you must have the PADI Open Water Diver qualification or equivalent qualification from another organisation and be at least 12 years old.

What does the course involve?

To obtain the PADI Junior Adventure Diver qualification you will complete three adventure dives from a list including dry suit, multilevel, night, peak performance buoyancy, search and recovery, underwater naturalist, digital underwater photography, underwater navigation, deep and wreck.

You review the relevant chapters of the Adventures in Diving Manual for the dives that you have selected and complete the knowledge review prior to completing the dives. If you select the drysuit dive, a drysuit orientation will be conducted in the pool prior to open water training at no extra cost.

How long will it take?

The dives are normally conducted on a single Sunday at Capernwray. Options for completing the course dive by dive are also available. If completing a drysuit adventure dive you will also complete a pool training session. There will be some home study.

How do I book a course?

We have courses running regularly throughout the year. See the course calendar for our next course dates. To book your place on the next course all we need is a £75 deposit with the balance due at the start of the course. You will also need to get the course materials prior to commencing the course.

You can either call in the shop to pay your deposit and collect the course materials, download the course booking form and send it to us with your payment or simply ring us quoting your credit card number and we can post out the course materials to you (postage charged at cost).
