PADI Night Diver

What is it?

Diving at night is a whole new experience compared to diving during the day. You will find a whole new range of animals come out at night and even diving a familiar dive site at night you can enter a different world. Night diving is exhilarating with only the beam of your torch to guide you. The PADI Night Diver course will teach you how to dive safely at night and how to get the most from your experience.

Who can take part?

The course is open to anyone qualified as a PADI Open Water Diver or above (or equivalent qualification from another organisation) who is a minimum of 12 years old.

What does the course involve?

During the course you will learn about:

  • Night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems
  • How to control your buoyancy at night
  • Entries, exits and underwater navigation at night
  • Nocturnal aquatic life, since many of the plants and animals you'll see are different

How long will it take?

The Night Diver Course will run over one or two evenings (depending on location). Prior to the open water dives you will need to read the Night Diver manual and complete the knowledge review.

How do I book a course?

We normally run the night diver course around October time when it is dark early enough on an evening to complete the training dives. See the course calendar for our next course dates. To book your place on the next course all we need is a £75 deposit with the balance due at the start of the course. You will also need to get the course materials prior to commencing the course.

You can call in the shop to and collect the course materials, download the course booking form and send it to us with your payment or simply ring us quoting your credit card number and we can post out the course materials to you (postage charged at cost).
