Enriched Air Speciality

What is it?
Looking to extend your bottom time? Then check out PADI’s Enriched Air Diver program. Using enriched air will allow you to extend your bottom time and enjoy longer dives.

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is designed to teach you the procedures for safe, recreational no decompression diving with enriched air. The course covers the equipment and procedures involved in using enriched air. You’ll learn how to plan dives and determine your no decompression limits and your oxygen exposure limits with enriched air.

You’ll learn the proper procedures for obtaining enriched air, as well as the hazards associated with handling and diving with enriched air. Just as important, you’ll also learn about what enriched air does and does not do for the diver. Enriched air is a tool. You won’t necessarily use enriched air on every dive just because you’re certified as an enriched air diver. The course will help you determine when enriched air does and does not help you get more out of diving.

Whats involved?
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is divided into knowledge development, practical application and optional open water training. The open water training involves two dives which will allow you to put what you have learned into practice. Alternatively you can complete the simulated option where we plan the dives in the classroom

Who can take part?
The course is open to PADI Open Water Divers (or equivalent) with at least ten logged dives since certification. The minimum age is 15.

Upon Completion
When you have successfully completed the program, you will be awarded the PADI Enriched Air Diver Certification. Earning this certification means that you may buy or rent enriched air diving equipment and obtain enriched air fills, and that you can plan and make enriched air dives.

Whats the cost?
Course is £120 if completing optional open water dives, or
£75 if not completing optional open water dives
