PADI Referral Diver Course
The PADI Referral Diver Course is a flexible and convenient way to begin your scuba certification at home and complete it anywhere in the world. This program allows you to complete all academic and confined water training with us, then finish your open water dives at a PADI dive centre of your choice — ideal for those planning to complete their certification on holiday.
PADI eLearning
Your training begins with PADI’s interactive eLearning modules, designed to give you a strong foundation in scuba diving theory. Through the online platform, you’ll explore:
- Diving principles such as buoyancy, pressure, and breathing underwater
- Equipment setup, handling, and maintenance
- Dive planning, safety procedures, and underwater communication
- Environmental awareness and responsible diving practices
You can begin the eLearning as soon as you’re registered. It’s interactive, easy to follow, and completely self‑paced, allowing you to study whenever it suits you.
Confined Water Training
Once the theory is complete, you’ll move into the pool to develop your core scuba skills in a warm, controlled environment. Under the guidance of your instructor, you will:
- Practise essential skills such as mask clearing, regulator retrieval, and buoyancy control
- Learn emergency procedures, including air‑sharing and equipment troubleshooting
- Build confidence through structured, supportive training
- Become comfortable with the equipment and underwater movement
These sessions ensure you are fully prepared and confident before progressing to your open water dives.
Open Water Dives — Completed Anywhere in the World
The key benefit of the PADI Referral Diver Course is the freedom to complete your open water dives at any PADI dive centre worldwide. This makes it perfect for those who want to maximise their holiday time by completing the initial training at home.
During your open water dives, your chosen PADI centre will guide you through:
- Applying your pool skills in real‑world diving conditions
- Gaining experience in diverse underwater environments, such as reefs, lagoons, or wrecks
- Completing the final performance requirements for certification
Your open water instructor will ensure your safety, provide feedback, and support you through the final steps of your training.
Certification
Once you have completed your open water dives at your chosen destination, you’ll earn the PADI Open Water Diver certification, recognised globally and accepted at dive centres around the world. This qualification allows you to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres, opening the door to a lifetime of underwater exploration.
The PADI Referral Diver Course is the perfect option for those who want to complete their certification in warm, beautiful waters while making the most of their holiday.
