DIVER STRESS & RESCUE

Our Diver Stress and Rescue course is an essential training for all avid scuba divers. You will learn basic life-saving skills and techniques that can help you and your fellow divers in emergency situations, such as responding to diver stress, providing first aid and emergency oxygen, and performing search and rescue operations. With a mix of classroom sessions and practical exercises, our experienced instructors will guide you through the course and make sure that you leave with the skills and confidence to handle any emergency situation.

TRAINING PROCESS

The Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course equips you with essential skills to handle dive emergencies, both minor and major.

 

  • Identifying Stress:

    • Recognize signs of stress in diving situations.

    • Understand how to prevent accidents by managing stress effectively.

  • Accident Prevention:

    • Learn risk assessment techniques to evaluate potential hazards before each dive.

    • Strengthen your bond with your dive buddy to enhance safety.

    • Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures, including ascent techniques and buoyancy control.

  • Rescue Techniques:

    • Master self-rescue techniques to manage stress and handle minor issues independently.

    • Learn how to approach and assist distressed divers.

    • Simulate rescue scenarios, such as helping an unconscious diver or managing entanglements.

    • Understand basic first aid specific to diving emergencies.

Become a pro

Start on the path to becoming a pro with the Dive Guide course from there you can continue your career by becoming a Divemaster and then further qualify as an Assistant Instructor. Alternatively, combine your training by joining an Assistant Instructor and Instructor Training Course (ITC) to graduate as an Open Water Instructor now. Becoming a scuba instructor is just the beginning of an exciting career pathway.
