ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
The SSI or PADI Assistant Instructor rating is a crucial step in the scuba instructor pathway, following the achievement of Divemaster status. This rating provides an opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience, refine briefing skills, deliver academic lessons, and conduct in-water training sessions. TRAINING PROCESS
The Assistant Instructor course is a key step in the journey to becoming a dive professional.

Academic Sessions:

Teaching Experience: Gain experience in teaching academics and conducting in-water training.

Briefings Practice: Learn to practice briefings effectively.

Practical Application:

In-Water Training: Conduct in-water training under indirect supervision.

Role-Playing: Engage in role-play as instructor, assistant instructor, and student throughout evaluations.

Requirements for Certification:

Tread Water: Tread water for 15 minutes without aids.

Swim Tests: Swim 700 meters with fins, mask, and snorkel or 375 meters without swim aids.

Underwater Swim: Swim underwater for 25 meters using a mask and fins.

Rescue Exercise: Perform an unconscious diver rescue over a distance of 100 meters within 8 minutes.

Continued Professional Development:

Specialty Instructor: Qualify to become a Specialty Instructor for some Specialty programs.

Instructor Training Course: Enroll in an Instructor Training Course to continue your professional development.
