The SSI Dive Guide or PADI Divemaster program is your first step towards an exciting journey. Learn how to safely lead certified divers in different environments and conditions. Through dive briefings, site evaluations, and leading dives, you will become a confident Divemaster in no time. Start your diving career as a professional.

TRAINING PROCESS

The Dive Guide / Divemaster course is a professional level program that equips you with the skills to lead certified divers and assist in dive training.
 

  • Academic Sessions:

    • Role of a Dive Guide: Learn about the responsibilities, including legal and safety aspects, stress management, and effective group leadership.

    • Dive Briefings and Site Evaluations: Understand how to give comprehensive dive briefings and conduct site evaluations.

  • Practical Application:

    • Leading Dives: Gain experience in leading certified divers in various environments and conditions.

    • Assisting Instructors: Learn to assist instructors during entry-level and continuing education courses.

  • Requirements for Certification:

    • Specialty Skills: Show proficiency in deep diving, navigation, and night & limited visibility dives.

  • Active Status Privileges:

    • Dive Guide: As a certified Dive Guide, you can lead recreational dives and train, monitor, and certify in the SSI Snorkelling Program.

    • Divemaster: As a Divemaster, you can act as a certified assistant in all recreational diving programs, assist in open water training dives and Qualify as a Training Specialist for the Ecology Specialty programs.

  • Continued Professional Development:

    • Instructor Training: After becoming a Dive Guide, you can continue your career by attending an Instructor Training Course (ITC) to qualify as an Open Water Instructor.


This course is the first step towards a professional diving career, offering exciting opportunities to work in the dive industry and share your passion for the underwater world.
