
SPECIALITY INSTRUCTOR

Don't Just stop at Assistant Instructor, did you know that you can become a Speciality Instructor? With Many of speciality instructor ratings to choose from like, Computer Diving, Navigation, Photo and Video and more. The SSI Specialty Instructor program provides candidates with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to conduct SSI Specialty programs.
There are different methods to acquire your qualifications. Seminar, where you will complete the Speciality Instructor seminar for your chosen program, Co-teaching, alongside an instructor, you will co-teach at least one full program, have 10 logged dives in the applicable speciality and complete the training record or Verification Application, for this, you will need to have 20 logged dives and provide proof of experience, complete the applicable student materials, including digital learning, review questions and final exam and complete the training record.
TRAINING PROCESS
The SSI Specialty Instructor course is designed for those who wish to teach specific diving specialities.

Specialty Instructor Training:

Enroll in Seminars: For each speciality you want to teach, you’ll need to enroll in a Specialty Instructor Seminar.

Co-Teaching: Alternatively, you can co-teach with an experienced Specialty Instructor to gain practical experience.

Verification of Experience:

If you have relevant experience, you can submit a Verification Application directly to SSI.

Teaching Specialties:

Upon completion, you can teach various specialities, which is a great way to generate more income as an SSI Instructor.

Professional Recognition:

Teaching multiple specialities can qualify you for higher professional recognition ratings like Advanced Open Water Instructor, Divemaster, and Master Instructor.
